What is Yaupon?

Yaupon tea has a unique flavor profile that is reminiscent of green tea but has its own unique characteristics. It has a light grassy flavor with a slight sweetness and a mild astringency. It is not overly bitter or acidic, making it a pleasant and refreshing drink.

• Yaupon comes from the plant Ilex vomitoria instead of Camellia sinensis, from which many traditional varieties of tea come.
• Other teas has tannins, Yaupon does not. This means, you can steep multiple times without your drink growing bitter.
